Abraham Kritzman

Abraham Kritzman’s multidisciplinary practice is centred upon an immersive language. He layers, removes, and repeats elements inspired by his journeys around the world, mythical narratives, human imagery, architecture, and landscape. All these elements mix, creating undulating, dancing works, often merging the confident gesture with delicate details.

 

The artist lives and works between Israel and London. Kritzman studied at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design followed by an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art in 2014, where he won the Clore Prize and Scholarship, and the Villiers David Travel Award in 2013. His work is in the permanent collections of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Clore Duffield Foundation. The artist was awarded The Minister of Culture Prize for Emerging Artists and the Hermann Struck Prize. He is currently a Lecturer and Tutor at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design.
