Edward is a Co-founder and Contemporary Art and Research Specialist. He completed his Master’s degree from Christie’s Education where he studied Modern and Contemporary Art. He is also a practising artist and graduated with a First Class Honours in Fine Art from Oxford Brookes University and a Distinction Foundation Diploma from Ravensbourne Institute of Art and Design. Edward has recently worked at Frieze Masters, Multiplied and has written for the Christie’s Education publication C#15 Magazine. Whilst undertaking his studies at Christie’s Education, Edward took part in training placements at the Kate MacGarry Gallery and Christie’s Auction House. Edward’s passion is building portfolios of power and purpose for collectors.
Callum is a director of Liz Xi and has found a home working in the art world. Having trained as a professional saxophonist, studying at Leeds College of Music and the BRIT school, he is passionate about ensuring high performing and talented individuals receive the platform they deserve to excel. Callum brings with him a wealth of business experience having worked for 5 years at The Football Association, contributing to football development and England development teams. Callum has also worked within the retail financial services sector and applies the lessons learnt from how to deal with investors looking at new opportunities. Callum believes that high-quality artwork can be an enjoyable and a valuable part of one’s portfolio and is keen to speak to every collector that is interested in Liz Xi’s services.
Maria Pia Masella
Maria is an especially qualified individual. At Università la Sapienza, Rome she studied Modern Foreign Languages between 1994-1999. After this, she undertook an MA in Comparative Literature from University College London between 2001-2002. Then a Post Graduate Diploma in Fine & Decorative Art from Christie’s Education, London between 2006-2007 and an MA in Modern & Contemporary Art from the University of Glasgow between 2007-2008 followed. Past projects include curating the ‘Coffee Art Project’ as well as working for In-arte & Artribune: the leading Italian magazine founded in 2011, which focuses on contemporary art and culture. Maria has also worked at the Tate and Frieze Masters.
Giulia Damiani is an award-winning writer and editor based in London. In the last year, her work was selected for publication in major projects such as E.R.O.S press and movin’ up. She has lectured on her research in institutions such as Goldsmiths University, Royal College of Art and The White Building (London). In May 2015 she directed a series of workshops and performances on a disused feminist archive in Naples; currently, she is continuing to write narratives which supplement women’s art and history. In August 2015 she was in Bucharest to curate an exhibition, publication and more artistic ventures looking at the notion of ‘weight’, with the support of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage. She is currently undertaking a PhD at Goldsmiths where she also teaches. Recently, she has worked on projects in São Paulo and Berlin.
Maria Golovteeva completed her Master’s degree from Christie’s Education and Sotheby’s Institute of Art where she studied Art, Style and Design: Renaissance to Modernism and Art and Business respectively. She is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of St Andrews in Art History where she received the Van Gogh Museum Research Grant and the Elizabeth Gilmore Holt Scholarship. Her work has been published in North Street Review: Arts and Visual Culture and she contributes to the Russian Art and Culture magazine. She has presented at numerous conferences including Queen’s University Belfast, the University of Edinburgh, University of Maastricht and Trinity College Cambridge. She has also worked for the art dealer Zangrilli & Co.
Annabel Sheen studied English Literature and History of Art at the University of York before completing her Master’s degree at the Royal College of Art in Design History receiving a Distinction. She has conducted a training placement at the Guggenheim New York and has worked for the Serpentine Gallery and the Victoria and Albert Museum. She has written for Apollo Magazine and is currently editor of the online design and lifestyle magazine ACHICA Living.
An artist and researcher living and working in London, William completed his BA (Hons) in Anthropology and Archaeology (first class) from Durham University, and recently received an MA in Information Experience Design from the Royal College of Art, during which time he was awarded a distinction for his thesis, ‘The world has always been an internet of things: Introducing a mindset for designers in the Anthropocene.’ His work has been presented at conferences and exhibitions across Europe, and he is currently investigating non-anthropocentric approaches within technology, the arts, and social sciences. William has won many awards: Delta Rail and Brilliant finalist Durham Lumiere.
Zhaoyirou Li completed her Master’s degree from Sotheby’s Institute of Art where she studied East Asian Art. She has worked at The London Original Print Fair, Yixin Studio of Antiquities, The Art Museum of Tsinghua University, The Rongbaozhai Rombon Auction House and The Museum of Yunnan Province as well as its Cultural Relics Association. She has written for the Art World online course and has curated an internal exhibition during her studies at Sotheby’s Institute of Art. Now, she works for the esteemed The Capital Museum of Beijing.
Evgeniya Berlova studied at the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas and the Business School RMA where she received a Diploma in Art Management and Gallery Business. She has worked for The Department of Culture of Moscow as a Senior Specialist in the Special, International and Region Projects Department. She is currently Manager of the Development Department at The State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow.
