Amid the programming of the duo exhibition Home with a Man (Brian Griffiths and Alexandre da Cunha), Elizabeth Xi Bauer was delighted to host students from the Royal College of Art and Chelsea College of Arts for a series of tours at the Exmouth Market gallery.
MA Fine Arts students and professors joined Elizabeth Xi Bauer for a staff-led tour of the exhibition, followed by questions and group discussion. The tours offered an insight into works on display, with students exploring the installation, curation, and themes in conversation with our team. A subsequent review of the exhibition by Chelsea College of Arts student, Kenenza Michiko, reads:
What makes Home with a Man a remarkable exhibition is not only the strength of each artist individually, but the way their works inhabit the same space together. They do not harmonise neatly; instead, they rub against each other, creating a friction that recalls the awkwardness of cohabitation itself.
